Respirator Fit Test

Respirator Fit Testing

WorkSafeBC requires that all employees who wear respirators be given an annual fit test.

To protect your workers, their respirator must fit properly and form a good seal on their face. A fit test is done to check that contaminated air cannot leak into their respirator and be inhaled. To ensure a good fit, nothing, including eyeglass frames, head coverings or beards, sideburns, or stubble must come between their respirator and their skin where the respirator seals with their face.

The annual fit test can be done by us, and then we can provide Train the Trainer instructions.
