Supervisor Safety Training

Developed by WorkSafeBC to create safer workplaces, it’s essential for supervisors to have a good overall working knowledge of effective health and safety programs. This course presented by Petersen Safety Group a WorkSafeBC training Partner ensures that supervisors understand their responsibilities when it comes to regulatory requirements, due diligence,  training, and overseeing site safety.

Description
This two-day course focuses on supervisor safety, responsibility and liability considerations and is designed for anyone who manages workers. Participants receive Certificate of Recognition (COR) training pertaining to due diligence and federal and provincial legislation. Detailed presentations on site safety equip participants with the information they need to effectively monitor, address, and manage problem situations to prevent job site accidents and injuries. Learn how to identify the components of a good training program and put them into action. Participants hone their presentation skills by designing and presenting a tool-box talk.

The course consists of four training modules. Each lesson is three-and-a-half hours in duration:

Who Should Attend
This course is intended for supervisors, new or experienced, and may also be of interest to joint health and safety committee members, worker health and safety representatives, and health and safety professionals who are committed to preventing workplace injuries.
